About the IAPP

Michael Segall is Associate General Counsel for European Privacy Engagement and AI Compliance at Amazon. In this role, he leads proactive engagement with the European Commission, European Data Protection Authorities and Privacy Thought Leaders. He also oversees Amazon’s AI Compliance efforts for its Stores’ businesses. He was previously Legal Director for Amazon’s Operational Compliance Efforts (Environmental, Product, Trade & Health & Safety). He holds a J.D. from Harvard Law School and a B.A. from The University of Chicago.
