About the IAPP

Ties is the founder of Boon Privacy and works as a privacy solutions consultant, helping privacy teams with operating between the formal requirements of privacy frameworks that apply to their business operations and the practical reality of their business needs. Before starting Boon Privacy, Ties worked as a privacy lawyer at De Brauw and subsequently joined the international privacy team of Tencent, focusing on privacy compliance in Tencent's own mobile games portfolio as well as investee studios. These past experiences as in-house legal counsel at Tencent and his training as a privacy lawyer with De Brauw, combined with a solid technical understanding, enables Ties to help bridge the gap between paper compliance and operational reality.
