U.S. Vice President JD Vance does not expect the proposed 10-year moratorium on state-level AI legislation to be included in Congress' final reconciliation bill text, Politico reports. Vance said he "can go both ways on (the moratorium)," but also stated, "to be honest with you, I don't think that's going to make it in the final bill." Meanwhile, House Committee on Energy and Commerce Chair Brett Guthrie, R-Ky., said House lawmakers "didn't socialize (the moratorium) throughout the Republican conference as well as we should've" to receive wider support.
